My Llamas !!

Hi, I'm Casey. I was a 4-H Ten Year 4-H Member and completed my tenth year in the Llama Trekkers Club in 2006. I'm also a member of ALSA - the national show associaton.  I've now finished four years at Purdue University and have a degree in Agronomy.  Since the spring of 2010, I've been working at a veterinary clinic in Noblesville, IN and now have applied to Vet School at Purdue for the fall of 2011.  At this time, I have only heard that I have gotten a thumbs up for the interview in January, 2011.

Now it's summer of 2011 and my path has taken a new route.  I was introduced to someone at DowAgro Services and had the opportunity of touring the facility and getting an interview.  As a result, I am now a very proud new employee of DowAgro Services and I'm headed off to Minneapolis to start my exciting new job.

Over to the right is my main girl, Double Delite. I have been working with her for many years and she is an excellent Performance animal.  She has also earned her ROM and Halter Champion award with ALSA.  I can't express the bond I have with her for words wouldn't do it justice. She is a wonderful Mom and has had the following crias: Revolution, Tess, Double Date, Double Down, and her 2010 cria, Double Trouble.  Although I'm always busy with work and school, I still have the time to visit "my girl" at Shagbark Ridge.  DD is still involved with the Llama Trekkers Club and goes to shows regularly and does PR work.

Although I don't have much time to show llamas at this time, I have recently been judging 4-H shows and also gave one of the vet clinics held at the 2010 All American Youth Jamboree.  I am still involved!

Lovin' Hugs!

Double Trouble 2010

Looks like another winner!

This was my first llama I worked with in 4-H. Her name was Blush. This picture shows us at my first State Fair. Boy, was I proud of that first place!

This is Double's first baby, Rev.  I showed him in 4-H in 2002. We made a great team! Cute, ay?

Casey & Double

This is Double's second offspring, Tess.  Her name is Tesoro De Doble - in memory of Double's mom, Double Take.  She's a beauty and has won lots of Grand Champion awards.

These are the two other additions to my herd when I lived on my own farm! Coquette (left) and Miss Meagan (right).  Miss Meagan, a very tall classic llama, had a beautiful female cria, Cid's Secret.  Now that I'm away at school and no longer have a farm, Coquette belongs to Shagbark Ridge Llamas and Miss Meagan is now owned by Meagan Cyrus. (who she was named after)

These pictures were at the 2002 Nationals. Katie, Janna, Ryan and I had TONS of fun! The one on the upper left is us playin' poker with the studs.
