This was my three year old llama,
Caracci. I trained him since he was only
three months old. We were a great team and we accomplished
a lot in all areas of the show ring. I was proud to be able to take him to
the ALSA Grand National Show in Nebraska in 2005. We experienced a very unfortunate incident in January of 2006. We found an open wound on Caracci's elbow which grew rapidly. Since it was on a moving joint, the wound couldn't be stitched and prevented from movement and the decision had to be made to euthanise my very special friend. In further investigation we feel the wound was caused by a Brown Recluse Spider bite. You can read more about these deadly spiders here. 1st Place Intermediate Showmanship ALSA Grand National Show of Champions 2005 5th in Obstacle, 2nd in PR, 4th in Pack |
